Stamp-A-Stack

My friend Geri came over for my Stamp-A-Stack on Sunday, we had a great time. I'm kind of glad no one else signed up, the cards were way too involved for a Stamp-A-Stack. We started at 1:30 and didn't get done until 6:00 and we made 9 cards, 3 of each design.  We worked steady the whole time. Note to self, remember to keep it simple!

My 1st Waterfall technique card

I used retired DSP, So Saffron and Whisper White card stock, Happiest Birthday Wishes, Patterned Party and Create A Cupcake stamp sets, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, So Saffron and Regal Rose Stampin' Write markers, Rose Red 1/4 Grograin Ribbon. Unfortunately SU doesn't carry eyelets any more so they were purchased from a craft store. Would love for you to leave me a comment and tell me what you think.

Masculine Birthday (#3)

Here's the 3rd birthday card for my Birthday Stamp-A-Stack. Used a lot of new product! Don't wait too long to get registered for this workshop.

Birthday card (#2)

This one is extremely feminine. I used the new Lace Ribbon Border punch, love ,love ,love it. But then you all know what a punch addict I am. I hope this beautiful card generates some interest in the Birthday Stamp-A-Stack that I'm holding on July 24th.

Another turquoise turtle

This is really a very simplified version of the original technique that I learned while in a technique group. I stamped the turtle on tempting turquoise paper with soft suede, then I cut out the shell leaving just a little of the head so I would be able to hold on to it with tweezers while using the heat gun. I then covered the shell with versa mark and then extra thick embossing powder, heated it then covered it again and repeated the process. then I took some early espresso craft ink and put a couple lines of the craft ink across the shell, covered with ETB heated it again allowing the ETB to move spreading the craft ink. Hope this helps.

Sweet Floral

I haven't stamped in a while I think I'm trying to make up for lost time. Here's a new stamp from Stampin' Up! it's called Sweet Floral and it's Ginormous! I only stamped what would fit on to the oval but it is much bigger.

Faux Turquoise

This is really a very simplified version of the original technique that I learned while in a technique group. I stamped the turtle on tempting turquoise paper with soft suede, then I cut out the shell leaving just a little of the head so I would be able to hold on to it with tweesers while using the heatgun.
Here's the card I designed for July for my technique group. Hope they like it! I used the Natures Nest located on page 122 $22.95
Here's a close up of the turquoise shell.

Sweet little birdhouse

Here's my version. I tried to make my birds look like cardinals

Latest creations

The top card was one that I made using the Faux Turquoise technique. The picture doesn't really show how much the brad looks like turquoise.
This second card was case'd from http://www.scrapsandstamps.net/classroom.htm I made only subtle changes to the original design. I took satin ribbon and sponged it with Peach Parfait ink and I layered the frame from the Four Frames stamp set in the new Idea Book/Catalog page 141
